Tech Manager
Position Overview
TFE is seeking a motivated Technology Manager to lead our tech team in developing and implementing technology-driven projects that support our mission. This role requires a blend of technical expertise and leadership skills to oversee project development, manage a team of tech professionals, and ensure our technology solutions are effective and sustainable.
Core Responsibilities
- Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute technology strategies that align with TFE’s mission, enhancing service delivery and operational efficiency.
- Team Management: Lead and manage a diverse tech team, ensuring project milestones and organizational goals are met.
- Project Oversight: Oversee the development and maintenance of critical projects such as website enhancement, AI initiatives, website localization, and internal knowledge base systems.
- Collaboration: Work closely with other departments, including Linguistics and Marketing, to ensure technology solutions meet the broader organizational needs.
- Innovation and Improvement: Continuously seek innovative solutions and improvements in technology deployment to advance TFE’s outreach and impact.
Qualifications
- Passion for Technology and Social Good: A strong desire to use technology to solve problems and enhance lives, with prior experience in a nonprofit or social enterprise preferred.
- Leadership Skills: A keen interest in developing leadership skills or proven experience managing cross-functional teams.
- Communication Excellence: Outstanding communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex information in a clear and effective manner.
- Technical Proficiency: Experience with WordPress, TMS platforms, and documentation management.

Localization Engineer
Position Overview
Translators for Elders (TFE), a pioneering nonprofit organization, is on a mission to enhance accessibility and inclusivity for the elderly. We’re expanding our Tech Team with the addition of Localization Engineers who are passionate about leveraging technology to make a difference. We’d love to hear from you if you’re a problem-solver, eager to learn, and thrive in collaborative environments.
Core Responsibilities
- Website Enhancement: Improve the TFE website’s user experience with a focus on mobile compatibility and accessibility, ensuring our services are easily navigable for the elderly.
- Localization Support: Facilitate smooth localization processes for culturally sensitive and linguistically accurate service delivery.
- Help Center Management: Work with the marketing team to maintain and enhance the TFE Help Center, making it a comprehensive resource for our clients.
- Knowledge Base Development: Aid in developing and updating an Internal Knowledge Base to optimize documentation and operational workflows.
- AI Initiatives: Participate in the creation and implementation of AI technologies to enhance service delivery and expand our reach.
- Team Support: Provide necessary support to project and marketing teams to fulfill organizational objectives.
Qualifications
- Technical Skills: Proficiency with WordPress and a basic understanding of programming languages.
- Learning and Adaptability: A keen interest in adopting new technologies and tools.
- Collaboration and Communication: Excellent teamwork capabilities, a positive outlook, and strong communication skills.
